The History of the Centre Read Helen Arkell's story Click on the picture	The Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre The Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre (HADC), a registered charity, employs a group of educational professionals who help those with dyslexia and other Specific Learning Difficulties, and who train those who wish to study the subject. To ensure the quality of the professionals employed by the Centre, we train each to the highest post-graduate level (distinction) before they join our team. The HADC is recognised as one of the leading voices in the field of dyslexia and is represented on several, high profile, (including governmental), committees.
Holiday Tuition at the HADC In response to requests, we are offering tuition at the Centre. Wednesdays - July 2 - August 20 July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 August 6, 13, 20 Lessons will each be 45 minutes long: 9.00 - 9.45 10.00 - 10.45 11.00 - 11.45 12.00 - 12.45 1.30 - 2.15 2.30 - 3.15 3.30 - 4.15 Each lesson will cost £30.87 Students to be aged 5 - 16 years old Learning strategies will be taught for Maths Literacy Study Skills Lessons will be one to one. If shared lessons are requested, the price will be £23.15 per pupil - i.e. £46.30 per 45 minute session. Julie Hall is maintaining the bookings diary for this. Please contact her on 01252 792400	Open Day at the Centre July 18th 2.00 - 4.00 pm The Centre is holding an open afternoon from 2.00 - 4.00 on July 18th, when people who are interested in our training courses can hear about the different levels of courses. This may be of particular interest to mothers (with or without previous qualifications) who wish to return to work, but, of course, is open to all.
