Dyslexia @ Work – an Occupational Health seminar
May 25th 10.00-12-00 Victoria, London
Dyslexia in the workplace is increasingly becoming an issue that affects HR and Occupational Health professionals alike. Anybody formally assessed as dyslexic falls under the guidelines of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and employers are required to make ‘reasonable adjustments’ in the workplace.
At the same time dyslexics are generally individuals with a higher than average IQ, and a range of skills that can add significant value to any business. More importantly recent research, carried out for this seminar, indicates there are and will be many more dyslexics in the working population than previously thought.
Who should attend this forum for expert discussion?
With this view in mind Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre has got together with Maitland Medical, one of the UK’s foremost Occupational Health businesses, and acknowledged dyslexic writer Al Campbell, to discuss dyslexia at work and the implications for HR and training professionals.
